Workshops in my home studio
Each year from November until the end of March I run regular, informal but intensive workshops in the use of watercolours, oils and sometimes pastels in my conservatory-style home studio. These workshops can accommodate up to 6 guests per session maximum. A prospectus is available usually from October onwards, from which you may choose your dates and book (please, do book early as popular topics and/or dates tend to fill quickly). On request, I also offer more flexible arrangements for intensive 1:1 tuition and small groups who would like a concentrated approach. Workshops cost £40.00 per person per day workshop – 10.00 to 5.00 pm (or £25.00 per hour for 1:1 tuition by arrangement). High quality paper for all watercolour work, boards for oil painters, and pastel card for pastel painters are INCLUDED IN THE PRICES QUOTED.
The studio is a heated and well lit space with pleasant views of the surrounding village and Cotswold landscape beyond. Complimentary tea, coffee, beverages are offered all day. Optional vegetarian soup with cheeseboard and accompaniments are available at an additional cost of £5.00, book on arrival on the day. There is ample parking and directions are available on request via e-mail or post. We generally meet just prior to 10.00 am for coffee/tea and to set up for a 10.00 am start. We finish by 5.00 pm. I provide boards and paper to work on and complimentary items such as paper samples, brochures, back-up notes etc. but you will need to bring your own equipment. Demonstration pieces for you to keep will be painted during the day, slide shows on techniques may be given together with advice and guidance concerning materials and media. I would also be delighted to critique your current work. Please get in touch if you, your friends, or a group would be interested in attending. See events section also for more details of individual workshops and subjects. NB: The Cotswold Way is close by and B&B accommodation is available locally.
