Stage 7

Using the tip of a fairly stiff rigger brush paint flicked upwards at a shallow angle produces all you need to mimic tufts of grass etc

Stage 8

The same rigger brush drawn quickly upwards in a single stroke lays down just what you want for bright stalks of grass; light against the dark shadow of the boat.
