These are close up shots of the tamarisk tree foliage and flowers, again rendered by expressive rigger strokes using partially combined colours, squidging and splaying the brush in single strokes to give these streaky and fuzzy effects. Also the pattern of light and dark, and the blue 'sky holes' with branches crossing them also contribute to the 3D effect.
