Authentic Adventures Link

Authentic Adventures (formerly Andalucian Adventures) are specialists in painting, photography, walking and singing holidays.

Authentic Adventures (formerly Andalucian Adventures) grew out of John Brough's love of searching for the more rural Europe. This philosophy of trying to get to the heart of locations has continued to this day, and is reflected in their insistence on using local leaders whose lives are entwined in the landscapes they share with our guests. You will therefore enjoy not only the uniquely beautiful scenery, but also be party to local events. Over the years Andalucian Adventures have joined in festivals, attended christenings and weddings and even entered local watercolour contests.

You can walk, paint, photograph or sing in the footsteps and landscapes of some of the world’s greatest poets, writers, film makers and artists, as well as sharing hillsides frequented only by goatherds and their flocks.

Marlborough College Summer School offers weekly courses of learning at leisure in the idyllic setting of one of England's most beautiful and prestigious independent schools. Situated in 180 acres of grounds, and close to the centre of the historic market town of Marlborough, the fine College buildings are cradled comfortably in the valley of the River Kennet between a landscape of ancient forest and rolling downland.

The Summer School formula makes for a perfect family holiday, where parents can choose their own courses and entertainment knowing that the children are blissfully happy, but never far away. Courses run from Monday until Friday each week and offer flexibility in choice between a full day, two half days or simply coming for the mornings or afternoons alone. The scope and breadth of the courses is unusually wide and designed for both adults and young people.

sva (Stroud Valleys Artspace) was founded in 1997 with the aim of promoting and supporting the artists working in the area. Starting from humble beginnings, when volunteers helped to convert a disused town warehouse into artists studios, SVA  moved back into its building in John Street, Stroud after completing the 2nd phase of the £1.5 million building refurbishment project.

This unique contemporary arts resource provides good quality space, facilities and support to a wide number of artists and the community. The building was designed by Tony Fretton Architects, whose back catalogue includes the Camden Art Centre, London; the Lisson Gallery, London; a house for Anish Kapoor and the British Embassy in Warsaw.

Farncombe Estate is situated in the North of the Cotswolds just outside the picturesque village of Broadway.  Set within 300-acres of privately owned parkland, they offer weekend leisure breaks, day courses and other events all year round. The course programme includes a very broad range of subjects - almost anything from Art to Zen,  and if you can't find what you're looking for, you can contact them to request it.

On most weekends throughout the year, they host a range of courses and workshops, for all interests ranging from Arts and Crafts to Music, Singing, History, Writing and Yoga. The courses are designed for adults, but accompanied younger students are also welcome.  Roger Jones tutors at this location at various times during the year.  Ask Roger for details if you would like to know more or visit the website.

Rosemary and Co Quality Artists' Brushes

Rosemary & Co  We are a family business based between Skipton & Keighley in West Yorkshire - England. I have been making brushes for over 25 years and have trained a small team of ladies to the same high standard. Visit our website and view the 'Roger Jones' size 12 brush with its extra special tip. This brush was designed by Roger Jones and created by Rosemary. To achieve the 'Roger Style' then this is a must have!

All the brushes are handmade and not machine made like so many other manufacturers. We buy only the finest tails for our natural hair brushes and have them dressed in Germany before shipping them back to the UK ready to use. The synthetic fibres we use are also of a high quality and shouldn't 'spilt or curl'.
